Linz
Mozarthaus is located in Linz’s Old Town and sits across from the Landhaus. It was home to Josef Urbanski, the planner behind the Pöstlingberg Railway, in addition to being the residence of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, after whom the building is named.
Mozart spent a few days in Linz in November 1783 as a guest of the Count of Thun. During his stay, he composed his famous Linz Symphony in just three days. A bust of Mozart and an informational plaque commemorate his visit today.
